PHOENIX, AZ –The Sanderson Ford Lincoln Mercury Music Series presents multi-platinum recording artist and GRAMMY winner JOSS STONE in concert at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 2nd at the intimate Celebrity Theatre.

JOSS STONE sold more than 7.5 million albums worldwide; was nominated for four Grammy Awards; appeared onstage with James Brown, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Patti Labelle, Mavis Staples, Donna Summer, and Smokey Robinson; sat for an interview with Oprah Winfrey; starred in two major ad campaigns for the Gap; and performed for more than 200,000 people at the 2005 Live 8 Concert in London - all before reaching the ripe old age of 19.

Now 20, the soul diva has sold over ten million albums worldwide, and has won two BRIT Awards and one Grammy Award. The artist’s latest album, Introducing Joss Stone, released in March 2007, sold 118,000 copies in its first week, and was the highest-ever chart debut by a female artist from the U.K. since Billboard began deriving chart information from Nielsen SoundScan data in 1992. The album went Top 10 in more than 15 countries fueled by the hit singles "Tell Me 'Bout It" and "Tell Me What We're Gonna Do Now," featuring Common.

The English soul and R&B singer-songwriter emerged to fame in late 2003 with her multi-platinum debut album, The Soul Sessions. Her second album, the also-multi-platinum Mind, Body & Soul, topped the albums chart in the U.K. and spawned the U.K. top ten hit "You Had Me". Both album and single each received one nomination at the 2005 Grammy Awards, while Stone herself was nominated for "Best New Artist".
