February 6, 2009 (Tempe, AZ) – Circle K Tempe Music Festival returns for its seventh year in Tempe Beach Park on Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4. As Arizona’s premier music festival, the event boasts three stages of entertainment featuring national, regional and local acts along with activities and attractions for the whole family. The event will feature KID ROCK as Friday’s headliner with Cowboy Mouth and Tempe’s own, Roger Clyne and The Peacemakers as supporting acts. Saturday’s lineup will feature national acts 3 DOORS DOWN and ALL AMERICAN REJECTS. Additional talent will be announced leading up to the event.
The Circle K Tempe Music Festival will also host the Red Bull Wake Lab on Tempe Town Lake on Saturday, April 4. The Red Bull Wake Lab will be the biggest and most innovative wakeboarding event ever created and executed in the state of Arizona. Some of the nation’s best riders along with several Arizona athletes will wakeboard in this revolutionary competition on a course that includes a complex mix of handrails and transfer rails, along with an elevated pool and wall ride built on Town Lake.

Tickets for the 2009 Circle K Tempe Music Festival go on sale Friday, February 13 at 10 a.m. at http://www.livenation.com/, Dodge Theatre Box Office, Tempe Market Place Guest Services or by phone at 1-800-594-TIXX. Advance tickets will be priced at $35.00 and will increase to $45.00 the week of the festival. Once again the SRP Garage Band Competition will give high school and college-aged bands from across Arizona the opportunity to compete for opening slots on Saturday’s main stage. The winning high school and college bands will also get a $1,000 SRP music scholarship to donate to their school of choice.
In addition to the 30-plus musical acts performing on the three stages over the weekend, the Circle K Tempe Music Festival has built a reputation for being “More Than Music” by providing guests with an unforgettable festival experience. This year’s event will include attractions such as:
· A multi-themed retail marketplace featuring local artisans, merchants and more
· Attractions and activities for kids and adults alike
· Multiple beer gardens and food courts throughout the event
· The SRP Lil’ Rockers Area
· A fully operational Circle K Store offering guests all the festival essentials
· The Red Bull Wake Lab where some of the nation’s best wakeboarders will compete along the shores of Tempe Town Lake
· The SRP Music Shack & Garage Band Competition where the SRP Garage Band Competition finalists will battle it out to see who will open for 3 Doors Down and All American Rejects
· Sponsors offering product samples, giveaways and other promotions
The Circle K Tempe Music Festival has partnered with several local charities including United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona and Cox Charities. Portions of sales will benefit these nonprofits amongst many other local community-based groups.
