Named as one of iTunes “Top New Artists of ’08,” Pop Evil continues their march across America and the airwaves.
Vayden, the Phoenix based hi-energy, four piece rock/alt/metal band is a fresh taste of modern rock, based on the timeless foundations of the genre. Soulful vocals, heavy, yet melodic guitars and a tight, inventive rhythm section create the unique genetic make-up of Vayden’s sound. Vayden has opened for Matchbox 20, Alien Ant Farm, Slightly Stoopid, 30 Seconds to Mars, King X and Three Days Grace.
Tongue Dried Sun (TDS) has re-emerged back onto the music scene after a three year hiatus. TDS has just finished up a brand new album titled Zero Hour with world renowned producer Dave Jerden and Producer/Engineer Bryan Carlstrom(Alice in Chains, Janes Addiction, Offspring, etc...). TDS has shared the stage with the likes of Journey, Collective Soul, Jimmy Eat World, Alice Cooper, The Nuge, David Lee Roth and others. TDS has come back with one main objective; to help bring back great Rock music.
Wensday had her coming out party during the 2006 Alice Coopers Christmas Pudding event. Sharing a bill with Don Felder, Stephen Stills and pop metal band Tesla, Wensday moved the crowd with her searing rendition of "Only Women Bleed," the classic ballad Cooper wrote with longtime collaborator and legendary guitarist Dick Wagner. A huge fan of Wensday's from the moment he first heard her sing, Wagner produced, wrote, co-wrote and played guitar on all 13 tracks of her debut album Torch Rock.
Telescope is a four-piece alternative rock band from Arizona. Their music is a product of the members’ diverse musical influences. The band draws from a number of artists that inspire them, but are most often compared to bands like Snow Patrol, Lifehouse, Collective Soul and Our Lady Peace. The four-piece group has been playing together since 2002 after brothers Seth and Jason Holland met up with drummer Seth Johnson, and later multi-instrumentalist Mike Seitz. After only a few rehearsals, the four decided this was the band they had been longing to put their energy and efforts into.
Red Letter Drive won the coveted spot to play the Circle K Tempe Music Festival Main Stage after winning The Arizona State Battle of the Bands competition that was held during the ASU Homecoming last fall. Red Letter Drive is composed of 4 dedicated guys from the Phoenix area with a common passion for both their relationship with Christ and music. After years as worship leaders and members of local church City of Grace's youth worship band these four got together to start playing some fun cover songs. After line up changes, and countless song writing rehearsals Red Letter Drive is just starting to show their true potential, and hope to achieve their goal of producing music with a positive message that still can put a smile on your face.
Tempe Beach Park is located at the northwest corner of Rio Salado Parkway and Mill Avenue in downtown Tempe, AZ. For more information about the 2009 Circle K Tempe Music Festival, please visit http://www.tempemusicfestival.com/ or call the information hotline at (480) 970-FEST (3378).
