Brian Culbertson's Soulful Christmas

Phoenix, AZ - Sanderson Music Series presents BRIAN CULBERTSON’S A SOULFUL CHRISTMAS 2007 tour at the intimate Celebrity Theatre at 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 13th. Special guests include GERALD ALBRIGHT, HOWARD HEWETT, NICK COLIONNE & introducing VICTORIA WHITE. In typical Brian Culbertson fashion A SOULFUL CHRISTMAS features uplifting and soulful performances of holiday favorites and tunes from Culbertson’s holiday album of the same name. Culbertson and his guests will also perform hits from their respective catalogues.

Brian Culbertson - Brian Culbertson has been creating songs for the masses to great effect. He is the winner of the 2001 Smooth Jazz Award for Best Keyboardist, the 2005 American Society of Young Musicians' “All That Jazz” award, and nine Downbeat student awards for performance (piano/trombone) and composition. All the while, Culbertson has been steadily amassing a faithful audience with his recordings, then sealing the deal with his high-energy concerts.

Gerald Albright -Whether he is playing contemporary or straight-ahead jazz, saxophonist Albright stands in a class by himself. Albright has sold over 1,000,000 albums in the U.S. alone. His self-produced music features him on bass guitar, keyboards, flutes, drum programming, and background vocals. Incidentally, Albright's saxophone work can be hear in the PlayStation video game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

Howard Hewett - According to one Rolling Stone writer, Howard Hewett is the premier vocalist in the post - Marvin Gaye era of romantic pop. Like Gaye, Hewett soars to new heights and seduces his audience. His irresistible voice is responsible for selling some ten million records.

Nick Colionne - The Chicago born, bred and still residing guitarist turned pro at 15, touring all over the world with rock bands and some of the greatest legends of R&B, from The Staples Singers to Curtis Mayfield. Nick Colionne launched his solo career in 1994 with "It's My Turn” which reached #13 on the national charts. Most recently, he won the International Instrumental Artist of the Year Award at the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards.

Victoria White – The New Jersey native brings an eclectic vibe to jazz, folk, and rock music. This one-woman band's self produced, written and performed album, "Home," comes alive with electric guitar-laced ditties on life and love, heartache and fear.
