THE FREQUENCY at THE RHYTHM ROOM APRIL 16, 2008

Based upon a love of the synthesizer Moogs, the sound of a real Fender Rhodes piano and vintage Fender amps, the collective sound is a reflection of things old and new. Pink Floyd, Air, and Mogwai are cited as their influential groups.

The group’s self-produced EP "The Frequency" caught the attention of Ropeadope Records (MMW, Mike Gordon, The Duo, DJ Logic) founder Andy Hurwitz, and he signed them immediately. In February 2007 Ropeadope released a 5 song digital EP, and plans are in the works for a full length album to be released later this year.

A remix by The Frequency of Jorge Dalto’s “Killer Joe” can be found on the recent release Explorations: Classic Picante Regrooved which features the group alongside other innovative artists Thievery Corporation, Dan the Automator, and Cut Chemist and the group’s tracks can also be found on releases from artists as diverse as Quincy Jones and Cheb i Sabbah.

The Frequency recently finished up a tour supporting Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and appeared at a number of major summer festivals including 10,000 Lakes Festival, Quebec International Summer Music Festival, and the Wicker Park Music Festival. Already having shared the stage with artists as diverse as Mute Math, The 1990’s, Benzos, and Lotus, the band’s live show is renowned as something not to be missed.

On February 1, 2008, The Frequency song “Stars” was featured in the movie “The Eye” starring Jessica Alba.

MARTINI RANCH

“This ferociously rocking band is one of the better-kept secrets around…As usual, their best stuff is so good you wonder why more people aren’t noticing…” - USA Today

Phoenix, AZ (March 28, 2008) – After performing to a sold out crowd earlier this year, Cross Canadian Ragweed, the Oklahoma quartet, has decided once again to rock Martini Ranch. The show will begin at 7:30pm on Tuesday, May 6.

Cross Canadian Ragweed – Cody Canada (frontman), Grady Cross (guitarist), Jeremy Plato (bassist) and Randy Ragsdale (drummer) recently released their 4th studio album titled MISSION CALIFORNIA, from Universal Records South. The album charted at #6 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart and #30 on the Billboard Top 100 Chart. MISSION CALIFORNIA came in just behind superstars Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire, Faith Hill, Brooks & Dunn and Kenny Chesney with scans of 22,604 its first week.

Cross Canadian Ragweed has played a string of sold out shows, including a sold out performance at Martini Ranch earlier this year. Clearly embraced by country music fans, the band and Mission California are earning high praise from tough critics. USA Today claims the band “…is one of the better-kept secrets around.”

With another Top 10 country album to their credit, a debut performance on the Grand Ole’ Opry and upcoming features in Country Weekly and on GAC, it seems the secret about Cross Canadian Ragweed is about to get out.

BOSTON will be bringing two new recruits on tour this year. Unexpected phenomenon Tommy DeCarlo, the fan that posted his BOSTON covers on his myspace.com page and ended up on stage, will also be belting out the classics that skyrocketed the band to worldwide fame

Many remember where they were when they first heard “More Than a Feeling” or “Hitch a Ride” on the airwaves back in 1976. BOSTON’s self-titled first album has sold over 17 million copies to date, and was the highest selling debut of all time. Coinciding with the summer tour is a fully re-mastered Greatest Hits CD (Sony Legacy.) Lead-off singles from all five BOSTON albums will be included, as well as new photos from throughout the years and liner notes written by Tom Scholz.

STYX is Tommy Shaw (vocals, guitars), James "JY" Young (vocals, guitars), Lawrence Gowan (vocals, keyboards), Todd Sucherman (drums), Ricky Phillips (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Chuck Panozzo. Styx was the first band to have four consecutive triple platinum albums (The Grand Illusion, Pieces Of Eight, Cornerstone, and No. 1 Paradise Theatre). "Lady" was the first of 16 Top 40 hit singles, which also includes “Renegade,” "Blue Collar Man (Long Nights)" and "Fooling Yourself." The video for their 1981 Top 10 single "Too Much Time on my Hands" aired in the first hour of MTV's life. Big Bang Theory, released in May 2005, features their hit remake of "I Am The Walrus," and charted at No. 46, making it the fourth consecutive decade that Styx has had an album in the Top 50.

Jazz Saxophonist CANDY DULFER Sat., Apr. 12th

For immediate release: 21 March 2008

Jazz Saxophonist CANDY DULFER Sat., Apr. 12th

PHOENIX, AZ – The Sanderson Ford Lincoln Mercury Music Series presents premiere jazz saxophonist DANDY DULFER and band on Saturday, April 12th at the intimate Celebrity Theatre. Special guest NICK COLIONNE starts the show at 8 p.m.

For nearly two decades, Dutch-born saxophonist Candy Dulfer has been mesmerizing audiences with the combination punch of jaw-dropping performances, show-stopping musicianship and eye-popping sex appeal. Thundering out of the gate in 1990 with the million-plus-seller and Grammy-nominated debut album, Saxuality, she has since crafted a string of fine recordings and has worked alongside an impressive list of collaborators: Prince, Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), Maceo Parker, Van Morrison, Beyonce, Pink Floyd, Aretha Franklin, Joey DeFrancesco and many others.
Dulfer was brought into the limelight by Prince, who introduced her to the world via his video for "Partyman." Her appearances with Prince led to session work with Eurythmics guitarist/producer Dave Stewart, who gave Dulfer a credit on "Lily Was Here," which reached number six in the U.K. and number one on the Dutch radio charts in 1990. Dulfer’s father, Hans Dulfer, is a respected tenor saxophonist, and her mother, Inge, is her manager.

Smooth jazz guitarist “on the funky side” NICK COLIONNE opens the show. Colionne recently singed with Koch Records and is set to release “No Limits” this spring or early summer. Previous hits include “Always Thinking of You,” “High Flyin” and “It’s Been Too Long.” His sustained chart-topping radio history combined with his incredible live performances have propelled him to the upper echelons of smooth jazz stardom. Most recently, he won the International Instrumental Artist of the Year Award by the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards.

Tickets ($55, $75, and $100 VIP - includes VIP meet ‘n greet) are on sale now at Celebrity Theatre or online at www.sandersonmusic.com. Patrons can get one music series show for free with the purchase of six shows from the series + free parking for all seven shows. To charge by phone call 602-267-1600 ext.1. All tickets are subject to a surcharge. Celebrity Theatre is conveniently located on 32nd St., just 4 blocks south of the Loop 202 freeway, in Phoenix.

The chart-topping band is currently in the studio with producer Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Alanis Morissette), working on the yet-to-be-titled album, which is the follow-up to 2005’s Stand Up, the fourth consecutive Dave Matthews Band studio record to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200. Guitarist and longtime friend Tim Reynolds is playing on the album, marking his first recording with the band since 1998’s Before These Crowded Streets.

Dave Matthews Band – comprised of Carter Beauford (drums), Stefan Lessard (bass), Dave Matthews (vocals, guitar), LeRoi Moore (saxophone) and Boyd Tinsley (violin) – has sold a collective 35 million units (CD and DVD combined) since the 1994 release of its major label debut, Under the Table and Dreaming.

Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk, a MacGillivray Freeman Films released for IMAX Theatres and IMAX 3D Theatres, features songs and music from Dave Matthews Band. Bassist Stefan Lessard composed and arranged the film’s musical score with longtime MacGillivray Freeman collaborator Steve Wood, and the pair recruited Carter Beauford, Boyd Tinsley and Tim Reynolds to play on the score. Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk raises awareness about world water issues and premiered on March 14th, in anticipation of World Water Day (March 22nd).

BOB SCHNEIDER at THE RHYTHM ROOM

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Live Nation proudly presents

BOB SCHNEIDER
THE RHYTHM ROOM
MARCH 24, 2008

Phoenix, AZ (February 19, 2008) - Austin, Texas-based singer-songwriter, Bob Schneider will be hitting the road and will make a stop in Phoenix to perform at the Rhythm Room on Monday, March 24, in support of his forthcoming new album, When The Sun Breaks Down on the Moon. The album will be released on his own Shockorama Productions on March 18.

"I made this record at home, over the course of the last six months. I played all the instruments on it, including ukulele, banjo, trumpet, trombone, bass, guitar, piano, drums, keyboards, mandolin, steel drums, melodica, harmonica, as well as all the vocals," says Bob Schneider of the experience making When the Sun Breaks Down on the Moon. "I also did all the engineering, mixing, and mastering."

It should also be noted he painted the cover as well. Suffice to say, When the Sun Breaks Down on the Moon is a self-made project, the epitome of everything "do-it-yourself" represents.

Bob’s reputation for being a tireless artist gigging hundreds of shows a year and painting and writing on the off days are no longer just a Texas legend. His fan base knows to expect the unexpected at shows with songs pulled off any of the fifteen albums he's been involved with or the pop music catalog he has lodged in his brain. Indeed, every show seems to be two plus of hours of a phenomenally good time delivered as Bob iconoclastically climbs the hill of popular music stardom.

CHICAGO & THE DOOBIE BROTHERS WILL JOIN FORCES FOR A NIGHT OF ENTERTAINMENT AT DODGE THEATRE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Live Nation is very proud to announce

CHICAGO & THE DOOBIE BROTHERS
WILL JOIN FORCES FOR A NIGHT OF ENTERTAINMENT AT DODGE THEATRE
JUNE 3, 2008

TICKETS ON- SALE MONDAY, MARCH 24 AT 10AM!

Phoenix, AZ (March 18, 2008) – Two of America’s longest running and most respected classic rock bands, Chicago and The Doobie Brothers will join forces for a performance at Dodge Theatre on Tuesday, June 3. The show will begin at 7:30pm. As is the band’s tradition, Chicago will create a special encore featuring both bands performing onstage together – the kind of powerhouse musical finale for which Chicago is famous.

Chicago, the rock band formed in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois is one of the longest running and most successful U.S. pop/rock and roll groups. They have received many accolades including a Grammy Award, multiple American Music Awards, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a Chicago street dedicated in their honor, and keys to and proclamations from an impressive list of US cities. They have had record sales top the 100,000,000 mark, and include 21 Top 10 singles, 5 consecutive Number One albums, 5 Number One singles, 13 Platinum albums and 5 Gold singles. An incredible 25 of their 30 albums have been certified platinum, and Chicago is the first American band to chart Top 40 albums in five decades. This past November, founding members Robert Lamm and Jimmy Pankow were named as candidates for inclusion in the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame.

Rhino Records is readying the long-awaited Chicago album, Stone of Sisyphus, the great unreleased album that has been an underground fan favorite for nearly 15 years. The release will feature bonus tracks and new liner notes. Rhino is also releasing a limited edition box set of 7” singles, which is a cool nod to the band’s history, both as hit makers and as champions of innovative album packaging. Last October, Rhino issued the Best of Chicago: 40th Anniversary Edition, a hits package that remains a top seller. Also of continuing interest is Chicago XXX, the band’s excellent 2006 album, produced by Jay DeMarcus of superstar country group Rascal Flatts.

In May, Chicago will tape a special edition of A&E’s “Private Sessions”, a new program that takes an intimate look at top musicians through performance and conversations. Chicago is set to perform five classic hits.

The Doobie Brothers are one of the very few American musical groups that have been able to achieve a phenomenal level of success and sustain it for a period of time measured in decades; it is a success that has sold more than 50 million records worldwide. This includes: multiple Grammy awards, 27 chart singles, 16 top 40 hits (including two number 1s), 11 multi-platinum albums, 13 Gold albums and that most rare of distinctions, The Diamond Award, for the sale of 10 million units of a single title, Best Of The Doobies: Vol. 1. Combined with their consistent appeal on the road, The Doobies have earned a fanatical loyalty for their high-energy shows, and are truly one of America's most loved rock and roll bands.

Over the years, The Doobie Brothers’ music has evolved from a country/blues base into a sound emphasizing everything from R&B and Jazz elements, to guitar fueled rockers like “China Grove” and “Long Train Running,” to the folky chart topper “Black Water.” They have continually defied categorization, while maintaining their signature sound. Forever in pace with the American Spirit, The Doobie Brothers will continue to rock well into the future.

HOT TUNA ELECTRIC May 12

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Live Nation is very proud to present

AN EVENING WITH
HOT TUNA ELECTRIC
MESA ARTS CENTER
MAY 12, 2008

Phoenix, AZ (March 18, 2008) –Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady, the founders and continuing core members of Hot Tuna along with mandolin virtuoso Barry Mitterhoff and Erik Diaz on drums will bring their electric set to the Virginia G. Piper Repertory Theater on Monday, May 12. The show will begin at 7:30pm.

From their days playing together as teenagers in Washington D.C., to their current acoustic and electric blues, probably no one has more consistently led American music for the last 50 years than Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady.

In the mid 1960s Jorma and Jack joined the San Francisco group, The Jefferson Airplane. While in The Jefferson Airplane, putting together the soundtrack of the 60s, the pair remained loyal to the blues, jazz, bluegrass, and folk influences of the small clubs and larger venues they had learned from years before. While in San Francisco and even in hotel rooms on the road, they would play together and worked up a set of songs that they would often play at clubs in the Bay Area and while on the road, often after having played a set with the Airplane. This led to a record contact, in fact, they had an album recorded before they decided to name their band Hot Tuna. With it, they launched on an odyssey which has itself continued for more than 35 years, always finding new and interesting turns in its path forward.

For the last few years, Jorma and Jack have been joined in most of their Hot Tuna performances by the mandolin virtuoso Barry Mitterhoff. A veteran of bluegrass, Celtic, folk, and rock-influenced bands including "Tony Trischka and Skyline" and "Bottle Hill," Barry has found a new voice in working with Hot Tuna, and the fit has been good -- watching them play, it's as if he's been there from the beginning and they're all having the time of their lives.

Beginning in 2004, Hot Tuna returned to some of its own roots by adding an electric set to their acoustic one. For the electric sets, they are joined by Erik Diaz, a sharp young second-generation drummer with the energy, talent, and skill to match anything that Jack and Jorma -- once famous for working drummers nearly to death -- throw at him

Jorma and Jack certainly could not have imagined, let alone predicted, where playing would take them. It's been a long and fascinating road to numerous exciting destinations. Two things have never changed: They still love to play as much as they did as kids in Washington D.C., and there are still many, many exciting miles yet to travel on their musical odyssey.

LEGENDARY TRIO CROSBY, STILLS & NASH ON TOUR

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Live Nation is very proud to announce

LEGENDARY TRIO CROSBY, STILLS & NASH
WILL PERFORM AT DODGE THEATRE
SATURDAY, JUNE 21, 2008
TICKETS ON- SALE MONDAY, MARCH 17 AT 10AM!

Phoenix, AZ (March 11, 2008) – David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash are “three together” once again as they gear up for a marathon spring and summer Crosby, Stills & Nash (CSN) tour of North America, including a stop in Phoenix to perform at Dodge Theatre on Saturday, June 21 at 8pm. It is the legendary trio’s first tour since 2005 – the last time all three were united on the road in any configuration was for Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s 2006 Freedom Of Speech Tour.

CSN first formed in Los Angeles in 1968, each one coming to the group with a pedigree from another influential act: David Crosby from The Byrds, Stephen Stills from Buffalo Springfield, and Graham Nash from The Hollies. Their self-titled 1969 debut album – featuring song classics including “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,” “Marrakesh Express” and “Guinnevere” – was an instant masterpiece that helped them score that year’s Best New Artist GRAMMY® and is now #259 on Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of the “500 Greatest Albums Of All Time.”

When CSN’s Greatest Hits compilation was issued in 2005, music journalist David Wild noted in his review, also in Rolling Stone, that the trio was, “…the original late-Sixties harmonic convergence…the first supergroup worthy of the tag…Where earlier groups such as the Everly Brothers and the Beach Boys offered brotherly blends of harmony, CSN introduced a revolutionary chemistry of varied voices and songwriting styles.” The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame echoes that sentiment in their online summary of the group’s 1997 induction, noting that, Crosby, Stills & Nash have remained America’s longest-running experiment in vocal harmony and social relevance.”

As one of the most popular, enduring and influential acts to emerge out of the original Woodstock era (they made their second-ever concert appearance – with Neil Young – at the ’69 festival), CSN has often been called the “voice of an entire generation.” On tour in the U.S. in a landmark election year, CSN’s collective voice will be as loud and as clear as ever, with peerless harmonies and messages of social justice seamlessly sharing the spotlight, reaching many generations of fans across America.

The “SOMEWHERE BACK IN TIME – WORLD TOUR 08” was inspired by Maiden’s recently released DVD, LIVE AFTER DEATH (New Door Records/Ume). Filmed and recorded over four spectacular nights at Long Beach Arena on the “Powerslave Tour” in 1985, this has long been a benchmark for rock concert videos and live albums, and the CD remains one of the biggest-selling live albums ever with sales in excess of six million worldwide. With the video having been largely unavailable for many years, the fan’s massive interest in this legendary concert continues to this day with the DVD debuting at No. 1 on charts around the world (including The UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark and Finland), as well as No 2 on the Billboard USA Chart and in Canada.
This tour revisits the band’s history by focusing almost entirely on their classic 80’s period in both choice of songs played and the stage set, which is based around the legendary Egyptian Production of that ‘Powerslave Tour’ as portrayed on the Live After Death DVD. This will arguably be the most elaborate and spectacular show the band have ever presented. Furthermore the band intends to bring along for this summer leg of the tour the colossal mummy of Eddie, as featured on the Live After Death DVD, along with various other elements of the show that would not fit on their 757 on the first leg of this tour, which included the shows at the Forum and Izod Centre. Sadly no jumbo has a door big enough to fit in such a massive and imposing monster!!!
Says vocalist Bruce Dickinson ; “We are all greatly looking forward to getting back to see our fans in places like Texas, the South West and Seattle where we haven’t played for quite some time. And for this leg we will be able to bring along all Eddie’s toys which we couldn’t get on our plane during the first leg. We are all having a great time on this tour and really can’t believe the excitement it is creating round the world and the huge numbers of people who are turning out to see us. It makes for a really very exciting time for all of us, fans and band alike”
Maiden kicked off their record-breaking SOMEWHERE BACK IN TIME WORLD TOUR 08 in Mumbai, India on Feb 1st, before it rolled into Australia and Japan earlier this month - their first visit to the country in 15 years. Sky News joined the band from departure in the UK through the Indian leg to document Maiden’s enormous international profile They received an unprecedented amount of coverage which rolled across the network for two whole days. View the links below to experience the Maiden Boeing 757, the fan hysteria and exclusive footage of the first night of the tour in Mumbai. Channel 9 News in Australia also caught up with the band landing in Sydney and cameras around the world are expected to follow the band throughout this tour.

This tour, during which Maiden is expected to play to more than 1.5 million fans in the next six months, sees Iron Maiden consolidate their reputation as one of the greatest live acts on the planet and also one of the biggest ticket-selling bands ever.
‘Maiden Mania’ is currently gripping countries around the world as tickets for the 2008 World Tour flew out of box offices everywhere when they went on sale last year. On the first leg in Feb/Mar alone, tickets in San Paolo, Brazil, at the 42,000 capacity Palmeiras Stadium sold out in just a week ; Mexico City’s 22,000 capacity Sports Arena sold out in a record-breaking four days leading to the show being moved to the 51,000 Foro Sol Stadium, which is already sold out too; a first ever visit to Colombia, where first day ticket sales were the biggest for any music event there ever, saw the Simon Bolivar Stadium in Bogota sell out the 30,000 original capacity in 10 days and this has now been extended to 50,000; 14,000 capacity arenas in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, sold out in less than half an hour with second shows being added in both cities and the band playing to 70,000 fans there; 25,000 fans in each of Argentina, Chile and Costa Rica have already snapped up all available tickets with the promoter asking the venues if he can get more fans in to see the show.
The story continues in North America where shows in major arenas in LA, New York, Toronto sold out weeks in advance; and in the summer, when Maiden take the show around the stadiums of Europe, 125,000 tickets were sold in just over 2 hours last November for three stadium shows in Sweden and Finland!
Being able to tour the Southern Hemisphere in such a concentrated way is all due to the band taking their own plane – along with their entire 50-man crew, 12 tons of equipment and stage set – around the world with Astraeus Airline Captain Bruce Dickinson at the helm. As The Age in Australia reports:
“Some bands achieve such colossal levels of success that they get to ride in their own jet. But very few actually fly the damn things themselves. British heavy metal kings Iron Maiden have taken the DIY ethos to a new level – albeit with a much bigger budget than most heavy metal bands – when singer Bruce Dickinson flew his band into the country this week in a specially refitted Boeing 757.”
Reviews from Mumbai, India: Mumbai Mirror: (Headline “The Evening City Went Aces High”):“It was exactly at that desperately awaited stroke of 7.59pm, that Mumbai’s collective adrenaline, energy, and frantically fluctuating blood pressure levels rushed from almost 30,000 heads and toes at Bandra’s MMRDA grounds. As one of heavy metal music’s most revered super-gods stepped on to the stage, the black T-shirted swarm of helplessly eager metalheads almost risked screaming their lungs out of their mouths [and] as the frenetic crowd went berserk trying hard to believe its ears, the band exploded into a full-blown live-wire act.”
Bombay Times: (Headline “Hallowed Be Their Name!”):”The legendary UK heavy metal band kickstarted their ‘Somewhere Back In Time’ World Tour 2008 in Mumbai and boy, what a start it was!… thousands of fans screaming their lungs and heads out in excitement, disbelief and sheer pleasure. It was…a dream come true for any metal fan – to see and hear Maiden live! LOUD music, mindblowing guitar riffs and a voice that can match no other, this was not just a concert, it was an experience. ‘Scream for me Bombay’ Bruce shouted and boy did Mumbai scream! Truly this night was Maid-en heaven”
Reviews From Australia
Drum Media (Perth)
“Furthermore it was set in stone that fateful night….Iron Maiden will never grow old, sell out or lose their balls of steel. Iron Maiden scream like no other, perform like no other and rocked the socks off Perth like no other” Annie Newton , Drum Media, Perth

Rave Magazine (National)
“Maiden vault out onto the stage to a universally enraptured response at the sold out Burswood Dome. Quite simply the band is magnificent – the Egyptian-themed Powerslave stage set, the lighting and pyrotechnics and the ten foot Somewhere In Time Eddie figure that strides out onto the stage - Iron Maiden combine what is without a doubt the finest live performance my eyes and ears have beheld...Strolling exhaustedly back towards Melbourne’s city lights I feel I understand just a little of what it is that drives so many folks to leave home and hearth, time and time again, to follow this band around the globe.”

Drum Media (National)
Its not easy to write a review when left speechless after a gig, but it must be done…At 9.15pm Iron Maiden graced Sydney for the first time in a couple of decades in explosive fashion and delivered one of the best live performances, I, and no doubt, any of the 20,000 avid fans have witnessed.…An Iron Maiden show really is something else...never have I seen or heard so many fans sing an entire set, word-for-word and scream, chant and clap in unison…it was the engaging interaction with the crowd achieved through an electrifying entrancing performance from all members that the evening became magic.”

X-Press Magazine (National)
“The vibe at Burswood Dome was one of the most positive and happy of any show you could attend”…Iron Maiden were on fire, following Aces High with Two Minutes To Midnight. You just couldn’t wipe the smile off your face”

Beat Magazine (Melbourne)
“They’re an event band of the highest magnitude and metal shows of this calibre can’t soon be forgotten”

InPress magazine (Melbourne)
“...one would be expecting something pretty f**king spectacular. And sure enough, as the night unfolded, the greying lords of metal delivered a most fantastic show of epic proportions”…exploding onto the elaborate, multi-tiered, golden-jewelled, mummy occupied Egyptian stage, the lads burnt through classic after classic, perpetuating the awesomeness (as if pyrotechnics, fireworks, 14 foot walking mummies weren’t ridiculously fantastic enough already)…The four guitar horsemen stood tall at the helm of the stage in unison, a sight almost too epic for some minds; Steve Harris reflecting a sceptre of light off his bass, casting a majestic beam upon the capacity audience...Iron Maiden aren’t afraid to deliver rock and metal shows in complete excess (in the best way possible) and will stand the test of time as an unsurpassed collection of rock gods”

Daily Telegraph (Sydney)
“The band did not disappoint. It was more a military attack than a concert with the band spraying the crowd with metal pellets in the form of ‘greatest hits’ with punishing precision…After 33 yrs together, Iron Maiden still sonically soar higher than most.”

Canberra Time (Canberra)
“When the band hit the stage the release of tension in the house was enormous. And Iron Maiden did not let anyone down. The band was in incendiary form.”

MEAT PUPPETS JOIN FERGIE & MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE
FOR 2008 CIRCLE K TEMPE MUSIC FESTIVAL

The Meat Puppets, a born and bred Phoenix-based group who have been credited with inspiring bands such as Nirvana and Soundgarden, have been added to the rock-solid lineup of the 2008 Circle K Tempe Music Festival, Arizona’s largest music festival. This year, the award-winning event, which is being headlined by Fergie, My Chemical Romance and Puddle of Mudd, will take place on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29 at Tempe Beach Park. Tickets are limited and on sale now through Ticketmaster and Live Nation. The Meat Puppets will play on Saturday.

The core of the Meat Puppets is Curt and Cris Kirkwood, a pair of brothers born and raised in Phoenix. As teenagers, the Kirkwoods played in local rock & roll bands, primarily playing mainstream rock and hard rock. After graduating from Brophy, the brothers formed the Meat Puppets in 1980 with drummer Derrick Bostrom. Unlike the Kirkwoods' earlier bands, the Meat Puppets were directly inspired by punk rock; they were so committed to keeping the music punk that they refused to rehearse. Out of all of the bands that made SST Records a towering force in the American underground during the mid-'80s, the Meat Puppets lasted the longest, surviving where other bands fell apart. Not only do they play hard, loud, and fast, but they also have elements of the blues-rock of ZZ Top, the ambling folk-rock of the Grateful Dead, and Neil Young's country-rock and hard rock. As they grew older, the band has matured musically, developing an accomplished instrumental technique and moving closer to the traditional hard rock that was always underneath their punk. But they never quite abandoned their punk roots, even when they briefly broke into the mainstream in the early '90s.

Now in its 6th year, the Circle K Tempe Music Festival has grown to be more than music and is the largest music festival in Arizona. This year, the event boasts three stages of entertainment featuring national, regional and local acts including Fergie, My Chemical Romance, Puddle of Mudd, Cowboy Mouth, the Chris Parker Project, Dorsey and many more. The Big Bang Dueling Pianos will also have their own stage in the thick of the crowd at this year’s event on both days where they will be entertaining the crowd between sets.

In addition to the 30+ musical acts performing on the three stages over the weekend, the event boasts a number of sports, musical and kid-friendly attractions as well. These include: the Bud Light Sports Lounge with plenty of flat screen televisions so festival attendees won’t miss a minute of NCAA March Madness action; the Gatorade Sports Village with a free interactive sports area that includes foosball, pop-a-shot basketball, air hockey and foose ball; the SRP Lil’ Rockers Area with hands-on interactive instruments and music-related arts and crafts as well as karaoke and a children’s musical museum; the Rockstar Rockin’ Vert Ramp with extreme sports demonstrations; the Dillard’s Rock’n’Roll Fashion Show; the Landshark Lounge; and several interactive media booths.

The event is sponsored by Circle K, the City of Tempe, the Tempe Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Dillard’s, SRP, Cox Communications, Arizona State University, Desert Ridge Marketplace, Tempe Marketplace, Gatorade, Budweiser, Landshark Lager, Rockstar Energy Drink, Arrowhead Mountain Spring Water, Southern Comfort, Barefoot Wine, Pepsi, Talk and Go Mobile, Frito Lay, Mentos, the Arizona Republic, College Times, AZ Central, Amp AZ, 104.7 KISS FM, 98.7 The Peak FM, 99.9 KEZ FM, 101.5 JAMZ FM, 103.9 The Edge FM and T.E.A.M.

2008 Honda Civic Tour Gives Fans the Chance to Hit the Pavement in Their Very Own Panic At The Disco-Customized Honda Civic Hybrid

2008 Honda Civic Hybrid customized by Panic At The Disco for the 8th Annual Honda Civic Tour. (PRNewsFoto/Honda Civic Tour) LOS ANGELES, CA UNITED STATES 02/27/2008

Beginning Feb. 28 Visit HondaCivicTour.com for Shot at Winning One-of-a-Kind Ride
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The Honda Civic Tour is giving music lovers a shot at the ride of their lives by offering them a chance to win a Honda Civic Hybrid designed and autographed by the members of Honda Civic Tour '08 headlining act Panic At The Disco. Beginning Feb. 28, fans can enter to win this one-of-a-kind green machine by logging on to www.hondacivictour.com. Concertgoers will be able to see the car for themselves, and register to win it via an electronic kiosk at each stop of the nationwide tour, which kicks off April 10 in San Francisco.

"Not every band gets the opportunity to customize their own car," notes PATD guitarist Ryan Ross, "which is just one of the reasons the Honda Civic Tour is so cool. We spent a lot of time on the design to make sure it was something our fans would be truly excited about. And this particular car is a hybrid, so you really can't go wrong there."

Panic At The Disco will offer a preview of Honda Civic Tour '08 when they perform on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" March 25 to coincide with the release that day of their new album, Pretty. Odd. The tour has racked up sold-out shows in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Atlanta and Orlando, with second dates added in those cities. In addition to these locales, PATD and Honda Civic Tour mates Motion City Soundtrack, The Hush Sound and Phantom Planet can be seen in East Rutherford, N.J., on May 4 as part of the Bamboozle music festival. Also appearing at Bamboozle: that highly coveted PATD-designed Civic Hybrid.

Panic At The Disco's eccentric aesthetic sensibility has resulted in a highly personalized reinvention of the car, making it the ultimate in fan memorabilia. Of course, as the leader in hybrid technology, Honda has seen to it that the Civic Hybrid gets an amazing EPA estimated 40 miles per gallon city and 45 miles per gallon highway for a combined 42 miles per gallon. The Civic Hybrid tricked out by PATD, meanwhile, comes with a cavalcade of tasty enhancements, many contributing to the exterior design's environmentally aware "Surreal Earth" theme (realized by Santini USA and DVS Designs with ALSA Corp Hawaiian Hues and Mystic paint and Candy Concentrates, the latter providing maximum color impact).

Anyone lucky enough to open the door to this beauty will find a custom-upholstered "time-machine" interior, with burgundy leather door panels and armrests, diamond-patterned leather seats and luxe buttoned headrests. The car's headliner -- the interior covering of the roof -- has been reconfigured in mocha suede and fitted with a clock that evokes Panic At The Disco's song "Nine in the Afternoon," the first single off their forthcoming album. If that weren't enough, the door panels, dash and floormats sport gold flourishes, and the windshield bears special accent lights. Perhaps even cooler is the crystal knob topping the gear shift, which has thus become the perfect device for transporting one back in time.

PATD's masterpiece also features a factory stereo head unit with a Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System(TM) combined with Alpine Electronics speakers, subwoofers and amplifiers; XM(R) Satellite Radio; 18-inch Konig Again racing-inspired rims with Dunlop Direzza DZ101 sport tires; Eibach Springs lowering suspension; a Honda Factory Performance (HFP) Aero Kit and Polished Exhaust Tip; and a Meguiar's professional car-care kit.

The desire to acquire this extraordinary work of vehicular art is expected to reach a fever pitch by the deadline for entry into the car-giveaway sweepstakes, July 31. (No purchase is necessary to enter; entry is limited to legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older.) Panic At The Disco will surely be thrilled for the winner of "their" Honda Civic Hybrid, but no one could blame them if they were also a little sad to see it go.

Honda began operations in the U.S. in 1959 with the establishment of American Honda Motor Co., Inc., Honda's first overseas subsidiary. Honda now employs more than 35,000 associates in North America. Honda currently has 14 manufacturing plants in North America, producing automobiles, light trucks, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, personal watercraft, engines, transmissions and other components. Nearly 8 of 10 Honda and Acura cars and light trucks sold in America are assembled in North America as well. Many of these products are now designed and developed at one of Honda's U.S. R&D centers. Honda annually purchases more than $17 billion in parts and materials from suppliers in North America.

Produced by Marketing Factory, the Honda Civic Tour brings innovation and environmental consciousness to the masses by combining the hottest in automotive technology with the hottest in music.
