TURBO OCHO - A new album based on first-ever RCPM VivaCast available March 15, 2008

Phoenix, AZ (January 29, 2008) – Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers (RCPM) will release the much-anticipated CD/DVD chronicle of January 2008’s revolutionary reality-recording experiment, Turbo Ocho. RCPM coined the term “VivaCast” to describe their 8-day recording of Turbo Ocho. The package features the original VivaCast in its entirety (8 new songs and 10 videos) plus 3 new studio songs with additional video footage. The album will launch with a kick-off concert in Phoenix at Celebrity Theatre on Saturday, March 15. Shooter Jennings will open the 8:00 pm show.

Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers have been independent pioneers in the music business for 10 years. This year they once again step to the edge of the envelope with the release of Turbo Ocho, the first-ever RCPM VivaCast, a web cast that brought daily audio and video updates to thousands of homes during the recording process, culminating with a sold out concert in Cholla Bay, Mexico. RCPM once again broke through old definitions of what is expected of a rock and roll band and forged their own path directly to what matters most, the fans.

Turbo Ocho is rock and roll in its purest form. The album’s vibration is edgy, and careless and celebratory. From the bravado of “I Know You Know” to the restorative heart of “Mercy” to the straight up rock in “I Do,” its imperfections and spontaneity are honest and exciting as it takes you through your own personal rock and roll journey of love, loss, growth and even a little siesta.

Clyne’s songwriting is often compared to the greats of Rock and Americana music, including Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, John Mellencamp and Steve Earle. As frontman for mid-90s The Refreshments, Clyne scored hits with the singles “Banditos” and “Down Together” and also secured a place in TV history when he penned and performed the super-energized theme for the hit animated FOX-TV show, “King of the Hill”.

Country rocker Shooter Jennings is widely known for his live show and the energy that explodes from each performance with his band, the .357’s. Shooters gripping third studio album, aptly titled The Wolf was released in October 2007. The Wolf’s thirteen tracks present a compelling portrait of a young man and his music. It’s full of fire and conviction – about what music can mean in people’s lives, about overcoming setbacks through sheer strength of will, and about how being tough means being willing to feel and acknowledge painful emotions.
