MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK, THE HUSH SOUND AND PHANTOM PLANET CONFIRMED AS SUPPORT ACTS
Access to Special Pre-sale Tickets Beginning Jan. 30 Can Be Found On www.hondacivictour.com
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 24

/PRNewswire/ -- For the past seven years, the Honda Civic Tour (HCT) has been acclaimed as a "must see" music tour, and this year is no exception. Following the release of their highly anticipated sophomore album, Pretty. Odd., on March 25, Panic At The Disco will be ready to take the wheel as 2008 HCT headliners. They begin their nationwide tour April 10 in San Francisco at the Warfield (see all dates below). Panic will be joined on the annual spring outing by Motion City Soundtrack, The Hush Sound and Phantom Planet.
Honda Civic Tour general on-sale begins Feb. 2 in select cities. Beginning Jan. 30, fans will have a chance to scoop up be pre-sale tickets by visiting www.hondacivictour.com.
"Last year we actually did a spur-of-the-moment acoustic set at the Vegas date of the Civic Tour," said Ryan Ross of Panic At The Disco. "So it's awesome to be playing every show this year."
A key perk of the HCT headlining gig is the opportunity to customize a Honda Civic Hybrid that's subsequently won by an extremely lucky fan. Panic At The Disco unveiled their one-of-a-kind creation at a press event held at American Honda headquarters earlier this month. This special car -- which has been autographed by the band, making it the ultimate in memorabilia -- will be showcased at each stop along the HCT, where concertgoers can enter to win it. Starting in February, fans will also be able to register for a shot at Panic's green machine by visiting www.hondacivictour.com. No purchase is necessary to enter. Entry is limited to legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia 18 years or older.
This year's Honda Civic Tour is rolling out an environmental action plan in which tickets themselves will equal action: For every Honda Civic Tour Panic At The Disco ticket purchased, $1 will go into a fund designated for nonprofit tour partners Reverb and Global Inheritance. Selected by Panic At The Disco, Reverb (a leader in the "greening" of concert tours) and Global Inheritance (a champion of progressive causes with a tight connection to youth subcultures) are collaborating to engage audiences in fun, fan-friendly, interactive exhibits during the tour. Additionally, this collective will make a substantial contribution -- in the name of The 2008 Honda Civic Tour with Panic At The Disco -- to a cause to be determined by the end of the tour. The beneficiary will be selected on merit and its potential to have a lasting impact on the generation-defining environmental movement.
Panic at the Disco
Their upcoming release, "Pretty. Odd." was recorded in Las Vegas' Studio at the Palms, with additional production and mixing at the world-renowned Abbey Road Studios in London. Produced by Grammy and Emmy Award-nominated arranger/composer Rob Mathes, the album sees Panic At The Disco embracing a melodic, classic rock-inspired aesthetic while still maintaining the visionary pop modernism that made its debut among the new millennium's most popular and successful releases. The album will be heralded by the first single, "Nine In The Afternoon," which is slated to impact at radio outlets nationwide later this month and will go on sale digitally on Jan. 29. In addition, a companion video clip -- directed by Shane Drake, who also helmed the band's 2006 MTV Video Music Award-winning Video of the Year, "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" -- will have its world premiere shortly.
Motion City Soundtrack
Motion City Soundtrack (Epitaph Records) perfect their trademark blend of indie rock riffs, bittersweet melodies, driving synths, and droll-yet-earnest lyrics on Even If It Kills Me, out now. Produced in parts by the duo of Fountain of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger & Girls vs Boys' Eli Janney, and by pop- rock legend Ric Ocasek, Even If It Kills Me is a heartfelt examination of the human condition, at turns both comic and tragic. Contagiously clever, buoyantly catchy, and featuring the instantly memorable single "This Is For Real," Even If It Kills Me is the year's most anticipated record.
The Hush Sound
Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen band The Hush Sound will release Goodbye Blues, their follow up to 2006's Like Vines, on March 18. Produced by Kevin Augunas (Cold War Kids), the album is the Chicago-based band's most ambitious work to date, a mature and masterful album which displays its distinctive gift for melding emotional depth, intellectual vigor, and catchy pop buoyancy. Goodbye Blues will first be available for pre-orders on the band's website, www.thehushsound.com, beginning January 29th. Fans who preorder the album will receive an exclusive digital download of the album's first single, "Honey." In addition, Fueled By Ramen webstore customers who pre-order Panic At The Disco's upcoming album, Pretty. Odd. will receive a limited $2 discount applicable to the purchase of Goodbye Blues.
"I can't wait to get back on the road with Panic again," said Greta Salpeter of The Hush Sound. "The 2006 tour with them was my favorite tour we've done and this Honda Civic Tour is looking to be even better. We are all psyched to start playing new songs from Goodbye Blues. We'll see YOU there!"
Phantom Planet
Los Angeles-based band Phantom Planet has joined the Fueled By Ramen family for their fourth full-length collection. Produced by Tony Berg (Aimee Mann, Pete Yorn, Nickel Creek), the power-pop combo's label debut, "RAISE THE DEAD," is set for release on April 15. The band has earned a reputation as a hard-touring live act, traveling the globe as both headline act and as support to such artists as Elvis Costello and the Attractions, Guided By Voices, Travis, Pete Yorn, the Vines, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, the Donnas, Incubus, and Rilo Kiley. A 4 song digital EP -- previously only available as a physical CD on their recent tour with Maroon 5 and, later, the Fueled By Ramen webstore until all copies sold out in a matter of weeks -- is being released wide on January 29. The band can also be found on tastemaker DJ/producer Mark Ronson's latest single, "Just" (featuring Phantom Planet) -- a brilliant reconfiguration of the Radiohead classic. For more information about Phantom Planet, visit their MySpace page at www.myspace.com/phantomplanet

KICK OFF SUPER BOWL WEEKEND WITH DOUG FLUTIE'S BAND

KICK OFF SUPER BOWL WEEKEND WITH DOUG FLUTIE’S BAND

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Kick off Super Bowl weekend with former New England Patriot QB Doug Flutie and his band when they perform live at 8 p.m. on Friday, February 1st at Mickey’s Hangover. Tickets in advance are just $20.

John Madden once said, “Inch for inch, Flutie in his prime was the best QB of his generation.” Flutie’s talents on the field seemingly carried over to his love for music. The retired NFL star and his brother Darren Flutie (former wide receiver) began playing music over a decade ago as a way to blow off steam during the off-season. The Flutie Brothers Band has recorded two albums, including “Catch This.” They also wrote and recorded the Saturday Night Football theme song for the Canadian Football League, which is featured weekly on CBC. Other band highlights include Doug Flutie being crowned the NFL’s Best Musician for his appearance with the Barenaked Ladies on Monday Night Football, earning him a spot in the halftime show of the Pro-bowl. Most importantly, this musical chapter has enabled the group to play throughout the U.S. and Canada, while raising money and awareness for the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism. The band has opened for such acts as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bo Diddley and Meredith Brooks.

The Flutie Brothers Band consists of classic rockers: drummer Doug Flutie, guitarist Darren Flutie, vocalist Sean Jenness, keyboardist Ted Armstrong, Mike Smith on guitar/vocals, and Spencer Hargis on bass/vocals.

Tickets in advance are $20/$30 day of show, and available at Mickey’s Hangover, 4312 N. Brown Avenue, in Scottsdale. For nightclub hours, or directions to Mickey’s Hangover, call 480-425-0111.

MARGARET TO APPEAR ON LATE LATE SHOW WITH CRAIG FERGUSON ON JANUARY 23!

Click here to see National Tour Dates!

Phoenix, AZ (January 18, 2008) – The incomparable Margaret Cho, who just wrapped up a wildly successful run of her Sensuous Woman burlesque-style variety show, has announced she will return to her stand-up roots with her brand new one-woman show called “Beautiful.” The tour will make a stop in Phoenix to perform at Dodge Theatre on Friday, April 18. Liam Sullivan will open the 8:00pm show.

“Beautiful” will make its debut in Australia at The Sydney Theater on February 27, 2008. This will mark the first time that Margaret has premiered a new show abroad. Margaret quips, "I love Australia! The audiences are so smart and rowdy, it's really exciting. I love that they just voted out Bush's boyfriend, John Howard. How thrilling!" Immediately following the Australian dates, Margaret will launch a national U.S. run of “Beautiful,” beginning on March 14 in San Francisco and running through June. In addition, Margaret has been invited as a guest on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson Wednesday, January 23.

In describing what “Beautiful” means to her, Margaret explains, “I want to explore the nature of beauty. What is funny and scary about it, why we often don’t feel beautiful because our society’s standards are so rigid and unattainable. A DJ once asked me, “If you woke up tomorrow and you were beautiful, what would you do? If you were 6 feet tall, blonde, blue-eyed and weighed 100 pounds, what would you do?!?” Well, I probably wouldn’t get up in that case, because I’d be too weak to stand. If that is his only idea of beauty then I feel really sorry for him. I want everyone to feel beautiful and I want to do it with laughter. Why not feel good about ourselves?”

Comedian Liam Sullivan, known as internet sensation “Kelly," will be opening for Margaret. Liam has gained quite a cult following from his online short films, including his hit video, "Shoes," which is the 2nd most watched video of all time on Youtube with well over 11 million views. Liam just won a People's Choice Award this month. Liam was a crowd pleaser as his character Kelly in Margaret's off-broadway variety show, "The Sensuous Woman," and is sure to be a riot on her upcoming tour as he showcases new videos and characters. AL STEWART @ THE RHYTHM ROOM 02.17

Live Nation proudly presents

AL STEWART
THE RHYTHM ROOM
FEBRUARY 17, 2008

Phoenix, AZ (January 15, 2008) - Al Stewart - best known for his mega-hits such as “Year of The Cat”, “Time Passages” and “Nostradamus” will make a stop in Phoenix to perform at the Rhythm Room on Sunday, February 17. The show will begin at 7:30pm.
In 2005 Al released A Beach Full of Shells, his first new US release since 1995's Between the Wars. The CD's producer, Laurence Juber, formerly of Paul McCartney's Wings, enhanced Al's elegant Scottish drawl, nimble acoustic guitar-work and keyboards with his own Grammy-winning guitar playing, string arrangements and percussion and a flexible rhythm section.

Stewart remains a distinctively literate and vivid storyteller, time-traveling and teleporting himself and his listeners from World War I battlefields to Sixties bedrooms, from ships to airplanes to ice floes, from the specific to the mysterious. Unlike many contemporary artists, the songs of Al Stewart don't feel or sound like they come with an expiration date. His works exist outside of any time frame.

Al is currently working with Laurence Juber once again on a new album. They are working towards a release in the late spring or early summer of this year.

Neurosonic Announces 2008 Tour with Puddle of Mudd

Bodog Music's Neurosonic Announces 2008 Tour with Puddle of Mudd
Rapidly Rising Industrial Band to Make National Late Night TV Debut On THE EDGE with Jake Sasseville in February 2008

NEW YORK - Bodog Music recording artists Neurosonic will return to the U.S. for a tour with platinum selling alt-metal band Puddle of Mudd. This gig is hot off Neurosonic's successful fall tour with Evans Blue, which directly followed the band's 12 country European headlining tour.
In addition to new tour dates, the Vancouver-based band, who recently made headlines (New York Post "Page Six," NME, People Online and much more) when frontman Jason Darr joked about a certain pop artist during a November 2007 NYC performance, will make their national late night television debut here in the U.S. in February when they perform live on late night's newest national show, The Edge With Jake Sasseville.

Neurosonic's single "So Many People" is currently No. 27 at Active Rock BDS and the video recently beat out established bands like the Foo Fighters on fuse TV's Oven Fresh. Randall "Boner" Smith, Program Director at WRXR in Chattanooga exclaimed, "This record is really starting to take off for us. It doesn't sound like anything else on the radio. It just jumps out and grabs you! Once this record saw daylight it just exploded!!"

Drama Queen features songs such as "Crazy Sheila," "'Until I Die" and "So Many People," a venomous song aimed at the pre-fab pop star machine. Neurosonic's blatant, brutally honest musings are an intense build of hard rock, industrial reinforcement, standout lyrics and big, catchy, killer choruses.

After tearing up the main stage of the 2007 Family Values Tour (alongside KoRn and Evanescence) and kicking off a month long, 12 country European Tour, Neurosonic fans are expected to build in strength and numbers through the rest of the year as they bring their explosive live show to Puddle of Mudd's headlining tour.

Marilyn Manson Comes to the Dodge Theater in February!

Live Nation and 98 KUPD are very proud to announce

MARILYN MANSON
RAPE OF THE WORLD TOUR
DODGE THEATRE
FEBRUARY 27, 2008

Phoenix, AZ (January 10, 2008) – Marilyn Manson, one of the most notorious and controversial entertainers will bring his Rape of the World Tour to Dodge Theatre on Wednesday, February 27. The show will begin at 7:30 with special guest Ours.

Marilyn Manson and Twiggy Ramirez have reunited and will be sharing the stage once again. The duo that started it all, are back together to finish where they left off. The two who co-wrote Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals, and Holywood will be joined by Chris Vrenna, Rob Holliday, and Ginger Fish. Tim Skold has amicably split with Manson, but future collaborations aren’t being ruled out between the two.

Marilyn Manson released EAT ME, DRINK ME in June 2007. Voted "Best Band in the World" by Kerrang! Magazine, the army of noise behind Manson's bitterness is at once raw and massive when witnessing him live - "rousing the crowd with focused ardor," states the New York Times.

Expectations for the upcoming tour are best described by quoting one of Manson’s most infamous lyrics, “Everyone will suffer now”.

Ours released their first major label album Distorted Lullabies in 2001. Produced by Steve Lillywhite of U2 fame, the album received mixed reviews but led to successful tours with acts such as Ocean Colour Scene, Pete Yorn, and The Cult. The track Sometimes peaked at #31 on the US Billoard Modern Rock charts that year. For the past 4 years, Ours have been meticulously crafting their 3rd record with world renowned producer Rick Rubin. Now, scheduled for a March 2008 release, the lush, sweeping, and transcendent Mercy (Dancing for the Death of an Imaginary Enemy) is the record Ours were destined to make.

MayDay Parade On Tour Now!

MAYDAY PARADE

Mayday Parade's debut album A Lesson In Romantics came out late this summer and has now scanned over 38,000 and counting! They hit #10 on the Billboard Heatseeker Chart this past week, selling over 3,000 records. Mayday sold also over 18,000 individual track downloads in the same week. Mayday Parade are a great story...two years ago they followed Warped Tour around in their van, played in the parking lot and sold CD's to kids in line (accumulating to 20,000 copies sold of their self-released EP). This year they were actually on Warped Tour and were one of the biggest stories on the tour, with more and more kids freaking out to their live show every day. For those who find themselves guilty of secretly (or openly) liking the All-American Rejects, Fall Out Boy, Something Corporate or Taking Back Sunday - Mayday Parade is a band you need to check out ASAP. It's pop goodness at its most polished and most addictive.

The deal, the first of its kind for an emerging act, is expected to play more than 140 theatres and arenas around the world during the span of the agreement.

The announcement comes on the heels of a wildly successful year for Jonas Brothers, which included their first platinum album and their special guest appearance on the sold out “Best of Both Worlds” arena tour, massive internet and top 40 radio exposure, and countless TV appearances and magazine covers. Billboard magazine also named the group the pop tour break out pick for 2008.

“This band creates pandemonium wherever they go. They sell out dates instantly and always leave their loyal fans wanting more. We couldn’t be more thrilled to be partners with them on their journey to superstardom,” said Live Nation Senior Vice President of Touring Bruce Kapp.

“The Jonas Brothers are without a doubt one of the most promising young touring bands working today,” said Live Nation Senior Vice President of Touring Brad Wavra. “Over the next two years we will work alongside the band, management, and their record label to grow Jonas Brothers’ fan base and establish them as one of the most successful touring bands in music.”

“The level of commitment and passion that everyone at Live Nation has shown for our band has been inspiring,” said Jonas Brothers. “Together we are going to bring our show to millions of our fans around the world. We couldn’t be more excited about our future together.”

Jonas Brothers’ self-titled Hollywood Records album was largely written by the brothers themselves, and debuted at # 5 on the Billboard Top 200. Their single “S.O.S.” shot straight to the top of iTunes and the video straight into MTV’s TRL Countdown. Jonas Brothers’ CD was the first to be released in the CD-VU+ format, a 100% recyclable multi-media format. 17th Annual Taste of the NFL

17th Annual Taste of the NFL returns to the home of the first
u.s. food bank, shares Flavors of the valley Nationally Renowned Chefs and NFL Greats Team Up to Tackle Hunger in America

(PHOENIX) – Jan. 2, 2008 – Returning to the home of the country’s first food bank, Taste of the NFL (TNFL) celebrates its 17th year on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at the Phoenix Convention Center. Housed in the South Building of the still-growing state-of-the-art facility, TNFL adds its own flavor to the excitement of Super Bowl XLII with The Party with a Purpose®.

One of a few officially sanctioned NFL events, TNFL gives guests an opportunity to savor some of the Super Bowl action. While feasting on dishes made by nationally renowned chefs, sampling select premium wines from the Gallo Wines family and visiting with all-time football greats, everyone at TNFL comes together to raise awareness and dollars to tackle hunger in America. In addition to stations for each of the 32 NFL teams and the Pro Bowl, guests will enjoy new, themed sections featuring the Flavors of the Valley, The Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa (host of Taste of the NFL in 1996), internationally renowned artist Charles Fazzino and Company American Bistro.

Since its founding in 1992, Taste of the NFL has raised more than $6.8 million for hunger-related charities and has become one of the premier events of Super Bowl weekend, hosting an average of 3,000 guests on the eve of the big game. The recipe for success continues to be outstanding food, perfectly paired wines, personal interaction with NFL greats, one-of-a-kind silent auction and live entertainment.

“This area holds significant meaning to our mission as the home of St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance, the first food bank in the country,” said Wayne Kostroski, TNFL founder and executive director. “We are pleased to return to the Valley once again and showcase our excellent team of chefs, players, sponsors and volunteers with the community as we do our part to fight hunger.

A portion of the funds raised through The Party with a Purpose are distributed to members of America's Second Harvest – The Nation's Food Bank Network™ (A2H) located in NFL cities. This year, a special, local emphasis will be placed on the St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance in Phoenix and United Food Bank in Mesa. Additional funds also will be distributed through other national hunger relief programs including Food Research & Action Council (FRAC), The Campus Kitchens Project and the A2H Community Kitchen® program.

“Each year, the partnership and support of our guests, volunteers and sponsors drive our event’s success,” Kostroski added. “At both the national and local levels, this extended team is helping to spread the message and raise funds to feed to the alarming number of people who need our help every day in communities nationwide.”

According to Hunger in America 2006, a hunger study conducted for A2H, approximately 4.5 million different people receive emergency food assistance from the A2H system in any given week – more than the number of residents in the city of Los Angeles, the second largest city in the United States. For more information about hunger in America, visit http://www.secondharvest.org/.

In addition to the national event, eight NFL cities hosted a local TNFL celebrity dinner with their respective team in 2007 to raise funds for their communities. Steady growth of the event at both the local and national level has helped TNFL further its mission of tackling hunger in America.

Joining Taste of the NFL XVII in tackling hunger, the sponsors and partners include: E.&J. Gallo Winery, which is providing its wines for the 11th year; Alliance Beverage; Hard Rock Café; Xbox 360™; Food Lion; Pepsi Co.; Hamilton Manufacturing; Starkey Labs; InCide Technologies; Ecolab; EA Sports; Engle Homes; SIKU; Le Cordon Bleu North America – Scottsdale Culinary Institute; The Arizona Republic; Phoenix magazine; Phoenix Home & Gardens; Latino Perspectives; The Phoenix Business Journal; Scottsdale Magazine; and the Martha Stewart Living Radio, NFL and All Sports channels on Sirius. Additionally, Martha Stewart Living Radio is conducting interviews with the TNFL chefs at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. EST each Monday and Friday leading up to the event to share cooking tips and details about the TNFL menu.

In addition to national event ticket sales, auction proceeds and sponsorships, funds also are raised through the sale of the Taste of the NFL Restaurant Guide, offering recipes, restaurant recommendations and tips from some of the finest chefs in America.

Copies of the 2008 Restaurant Guide can be purchased for $19.95 by calling (952) 835-7621. Individual tickets to Taste of the NFL are available for $500, early entry VIP tickets are $600 and corporate tables with VIP amenities for 10 are $6,000. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. For more information, visit http://www.tasteofthenfl.com/.
