944 Magazine to Turn Four Acres of Scottsdale Waterfront into Epicenter of Entertainment,

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – 944 Magazine, the official lifestyle magazine of the 2008 Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee, is set to produce an unrivaled entertainment experience on the Scottsdale Waterfront during the week leading up to Super Bowl XLII. Slated to run from Thursday, January 31, 2008 through gameday, February 3, 2008, the 944 SUPER VILLAGE will offer four days and nights of national A-list entertainment, celebrity guests and hosts, and special events on four acres of prime real estate in the epicenter of Scottsdale. Confirmed talent throughout the week includes 50 Cent, Paris Hilton, Wyclef Jean, Fall Out Boy, Velvet Revolver, Juliette and The Licks, Paul Oakenfold, Cisco Adler, Mickey Avalon, and a slew of internationally renowned DJ talent.

In partnership with Explosive Productions, the tented city will offer sports and celebrity meet and greets and autograph sessions, festival-style activities, food tastings, special stunts, art displays and charity events from day into night, with an expected attendance of more than 20,000 people. Village partners include Sprint, Pontiac, Anheuser-Busch, Trump Vodka, Bacardi Rum, Sauza Tequila, MySpace.com, Red Bull, Vitamin Water, Smart Water, Vicks Early Defense Foaming Hand Sanitizer, RA Sushi, Sushi Roku, Safari Drive and the City of Scottsdale.

“944 Magazine is striving to put Scottsdale on the map with the 944 SUPER VILLAGE and talent lineup,” says Director of Entertainment, Steve Kushnir. “Hosting the Super Bowl offers an opportunity for international exposure in our own backyard and we are taking full advantage of it. The 944 Super Village will combine elements of international dance music, rock ‘n’ roll, hip-hop and pop culture in a festival-style atmosphere that will guarantee our footprint to be the epicenter of all activity the week leading up to the Super Bowl.”

THURSDAY, JAN. 31 — The 2nd Annual DIRECTV “Celebrity Beach Bowl” Presented by Spike (daytime)
2 p.m.: Located within the Southbridge development adjacent to the 944 Super Village, the 2nd annual DirecTV “Celebrity Beach Bowl” presented by Spike will unite celebrities and professional athletes on one playing field to compete in the ultimate flag football game. The game will be hosted by Arizona Cardinals’ Quarterback, Matt Leinart, with a live performance by Fall Out Boy. The experience will be enhanced with Samsung HDTVs, the release of the new 2008 Pontiac and GMC vehicles and exclusive interviews with Sprint’s SEE-TV. 8 p.m.: Paris Hilton will host the 944 Magazine Six-Year Anniversary as the cover girl of the 944 February issue. Hilton will also host a private cover signing for 25 people.

PONTIAC PRESENTS 50 CENT PERFORMING ON THE PONTIAC GARAGE STAGE (EVENING)
10 p.m.: Pontiac will present 50 Cent performing on the Pontiac Garage Stage of the 944 Super Village. Some of the nation’s leading DJ talent, DJs Reach and Vice, will rotate on the turntables throughout the evening.

9:30 a.m.: For the seventh consecutive Super Bowl, Off The Field presents the Professional Football Players Wives Association’s Annual Fashion Show Extravaganza to benefit the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The event will include a silent auction featuring collectable sports memorabilia, vacation getaways and shopping sprees, followed by brunch, a live auction and runway fashion show featuring 50 stunning models from the football wives association representing all teams in the NFL. Aaron will perform two 20-minute moto trials stunt shows on Friday, Feb. 1 at 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Aaron will sign autographs after each show.

KIDS BOWL 2008 FEATURING MATT LEINART (DAYTIME)
2 p.m.: The Pat Tillman Foundation, and Team Tillman athlete, Matt Leinart, will kick-off sports & fitness clinics run by NFL athletes for elementary school students, Boys & Girls Clubs after-school programs and the Special Olympics of Arizona as part of their youth leadership development initiatives. The event will be highlighted by live music and special activities. The Pat Tillman Foundation seeks to carry forward Pat Tillman’s legacy by inspiring and supporting young people to promote positive change in themselves and our communities.

VICKS EARLY DEFENSE TAILGATE PARTY BENEFITING PAT TILLMAN FOUNDATION (DAYTIME)
4 p.m.: Vicks Early Defense, the official hand sanitizer of the 944 Super Village, partners with Laila Ali (host of American Gladiators) to bring fans of opposing teams together for some good, clean, fun at a tailgate party featuring food, live music and activities to follow Kids Bowl 2008. Laila will show fans the best way to defend themselves – both on and off the field – and then kick-off the event with the ultimate show of sportsmanship – the handshake. Appearances will also be made by NFL stars. Special performances by Kelley Jones, Soul Stash, Fred Green and Violet Wild.

FRIDAY, FEB. 1 — “CELEBRITY NIGHT AT THE TABLES” CHARITY POKER TOURNAMENT & WYCLEF JEAN (EVENING)
5 p.m.: 944 will present a celebrity poker tournament featuring cast members from the major motion picture, “The Grand,” and champions from the 2007 World Series of Poker. The poker tournament will be in partnership with One Five Foundation to benefit the Boomer Esiason Foundation and Junior Achievement of Arizona.

10 p.m.: A series of runway fashion shows will kick-off the evening, with Benji Madden of Good Charlotte, world-renowned mixer on drums and percussion, Ravi Drums, and the world’s leading video mixer, Roonie G. Wyclef Jean will headline.

(DAYTIME)2 p.m.: The exciting fight card for Saturday afternoon will include the following boxers, ranging from former #1 contender and middleweight top prospects, to veteran journeyman and undefeated welterweight prospects:Former #1 contender Héctor Camacho Jr., middleweight top prospect Carlos De Leon Jr., veteran journeyman Dhafir Smith, undefeated welterweight prospect Marvin Cordova Jr., Darien Ford, Alexis Hloros, Angel Flores, Akinyemi Laleye and Dante Moore.

SATURDAY, FEB. 2 —JULIETTE AND THE LICKS, VELVET REVOLVER AND PAUL OAKENFOLD (EVENING)
7 p.m.: On the eve of Saturday, Feb. 2, 944 Magazine will turn heads for a back-to-back live concert with Juliette and The Licks – actress Juliette Lewis best known for her roles in “The Other Sister” and “Natural Born Killers” – and the kings of rock ‘n’ roll, Velvet Revolver. Velvet Revolver — lead by former members of Guns N’ Roses, Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum, and Scott Weiland from the Stone Temple Pilots – will be followed by one of the world’s most influential DJs and music producers, Paul Oakenfold.

SUNDAY, FEB. 3 —THE ROXY THEATRE PRESENTS CISCO ADLER, ANDRE LEGACY, DIRTY NASTY, MICKEY AVALON, STEVE AOKI (EVENING)
10 p.m.: Los Angeles’ infamous beat boys will take the stage with some of their friends for the official Closing Night Party of the 944 Super Village. Talent includes former Whitestarr frontman, Cisco Adler, white rap sensation, Mickey Avalon, Steve Aoki (aka Kid Millionaire), Andre Legacy and Dirty Nasty.

TICKETS AND GENERAL INFORMATION
The 944 SUPER VILLAGE will be open Jan. 31 to Feb. 2, 2008, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, and 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. nightly. On Feb. 3, 2008, operation hours will be 8 p.m.- 2 a.m (post-game). Tickets for daytime activities are FREE for Arizona residents and $5 for non-Arizona residents. Tickets for evening festivities range from $100 to $150 for general admission, and $500 to $750 for V.I.P. tickets. VIP cabanas in the Main Entertainment Tent run $1,000 per person for a minimum of 20 people. Tickets can be purchased at www.944.com/azsuperbowl.
