Phoenix, AZ (March 21, 2008) – Dave Matthews Band will once again bring their tour to Phoenix to perform at Cricket Wireless Pavilion on Saturday, August 23. The show will begin at 7:00pm with special guest Robert Earl Keen. This year’s outing will commence with a two-night stand at Post-Gazette Pavilion in Burgettstown, PA (May 30th & 31st) and conclude with three consecutive dates at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA (September 5th, 6th and 7th).

Concertgoers will be the first to hear the latest material from Dave Matthews Band, as the group debuts songs from its forthcoming record. The chart-topping band is currently in the studio with producer Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Alanis Morissette), working on the yet-to-be-titled album, which is the follow-up to 2005’s Stand Up, the fourth consecutive Dave Matthews Band studio record to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200. Guitarist and longtime friend Tim Reynolds is playing on the album, marking his first recording with the band since 1998’s Before These Crowded Streets.

Dave Matthews Band – comprised of Carter Beauford (drums), Stefan Lessard (bass), Dave Matthews (vocals, guitar), LeRoi Moore (saxophone) and Boyd Tinsley (violin) – has sold a collective 35 million units (CD and DVD combined) since the 1994 release of its major label debut, Under the Table and Dreaming.

Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk, a MacGillivray Freeman Films released for IMAX Theatres and IMAX 3D Theatres, features songs and music from Dave Matthews Band. Bassist Stefan Lessard composed and arranged the film’s musical score with longtime MacGillivray Freeman collaborator Steve Wood, and the pair recruited Carter Beauford, Boyd Tinsley and Tim Reynolds to play on the score. Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk raises awareness about world water issues and premiered on March 14th, in anticipation of World Water Day (March 22nd).
